domestic travel

How to move in the first phase

In Phase 0 it will be possible to take the car individually for essential activities that were already authorized and, in addition, to go to a restaurant to pick up ordered food, as well as to go to commercial premises where assistance has been requested by appointment.

Public passenger transport will maintain the current times and services but will raise the occupancy of intercity vehicles to 50% of seated seats while keeping the row behind the driver's seat blocked. Users are required to wear face masks.

In cabs and VTC vehicles with up to nine seats, including the driver, two persons may travel in each additional row of seats with respect to the driver's row, guaranteeing the maximum possible distance between occupants.

During this first phase (phase 0), it is not allowed to travel outside the municipality to access commercial establishments that open their doors and provide service by appointment only. It is also forbidden to use motorized means of transport to travel for sports.

As for long-distance transport within Spain (bus, train, AVE, plane or ship), the Government has announced that the restrictions established in the current regulations will be progressively eliminated, depending on how the different communities evolve. Thus, transport operators will be able to adjust their offer depending on how the situation evolves. For the time being, services will continue to be offered at 30% and vehicle occupancy will be 50%.
