Meliá begins a gradual opening of its hotels

Meliá Hotels International is going to start this June a progressive opening of its establishments in Spain until it reaches the figure of 60 operational hotels in July. This figure will increase if demand conditions allow it, "with the commitment to reactivate the season, recover as much employment as possible and contribute to the stimulation of the economy," according to the company.

Thanks to the launch of a promotional campaign under the slogan 'When you come back, take care of yourself with Meliá', and the significant increase in bookings in recent weeks, Meliá has opened a dozen hotels in Cádiz, Seville, Alicante, Valencia, Santiago and Vigo this June.

During the month of July, customers will find hotels available in holiday destinations such as Andalusia, Valencia, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands. These will be joined by some establishments in Madrid and Barcelona, such as Meliá Madrid Serrano or ME Sitges, among others, and northern destinations such as Coruña, Bilbao or San Sebastián.

In the event that it is not possible to meet the opening targets set, Meliá is committed to offer its customers who have already booked an option of equal or better class at one of its other establishments in the chosen destination.

All reopenings are covered by the guarantee Stay Safe with MeliáMeliá Hotels International has created a program to adapt its hotels to the new normal, with the aim of applying the health and safety recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the authorities.
